Sandals Resorts has introduced a new dedicated meetings and events venue at Sandals Dunn’s River in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, expanding the resort’s capabilities for corporate groups, incentives and special events.
The newly opened Louis Grant Conference Center features approximately 8,000 sf of flexible meeting and event space, designed to accommodate groups of up to 500 attendees. The addition strengthens the resort’s position as a destination for planners seeking Caribbean settings paired with full-service meeting facilities.
The conference center honors the legacy of Louis Grant, a longtime tourism leader who spent more than six decades in the industry. Grant joined Sandals in 1991 and later served as General Manager of Sandals Dunn’s River, where he helped shape the resort’s operations and mentored future hospitality leaders. During his career, he received the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 and was named Hotelier of the Year in 2007.
Sandals Resorts is offering group incentives of up to 15 percent off contracted bookings, depending on travel dates.
Flexible Meeting Space for Groups up to 500
Designed with both business events and social functions in mind, the conference center blends contemporary design with Caribbean-inspired elements, including natural wood finishes, ocean-toned color palettes and locally inspired artwork.
The facility’s 5,396-sf main ballroom can host up to 500 guests for receptions and can be divided into three separate ballrooms to support multiple events or breakout sessions. Additional event infrastructure includes two dedicated boardrooms and two pre-function areas, which can be used for registration, networking or smaller group gatherings.
Incentive-Friendly Setting in Ocho Rios
Located along Jamaica’s north coast, the resort offers planners a combination of meeting space and an all-inclusive resort environment suited for incentive travel and corporate retreats.
Groups staying at Sandals Dunn’s River have access to 12 specialty restaurants, premium beverages, and a wide range of land and water sports included in the stay. The property also provides complimentary golf fees at nearby Upton Estate Golf & Country Club. At the same time, off-site experiences can be arranged through Island Routes, which offers excursions throughout the region.
Accessibility to the resort has also improved with service through Ian Fleming International Airport, located just minutes from the property and offering direct flights from Miami International Airport.
