Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica‘s recent $16 million renovation refreshed 315 guestrooms and added event space; but the crown jewel was the 4,526-sf Delfina Ballroom—Santa Monica’s only rooftop ballroom—offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Mountains.

The property operates under the Hyatt Centric brand, emphasizing its prime walkable location and seamless access to the wider West L.A. business and leisure markets, making it an ideal home base for both work and play.

Events overlook the ocean and mountains.

Innovative Meeting Spaces Redefine Corporate Wellness

The renovation introduced 11 versatile event spaces designed to inspire meaningful connection. In addition to the rooftop ballroom, the penthouse space accommodates up to 400 guests for receptions and can be configured for professional events ranging from theater-style presentations (400 capacity) to classroom settings (270 capacity).

Walk or bicycle from the Hyatt Centric to the Santa Monica Pier and beaches.

The property also added Sandbox, a 500-sf game-room-style venue on the mezzanine level featuring darts, shuffleboard, games, workstations and a bar. Built for team-building and networking, Sandbox transforms corporate gatherings into engaging experiences that prioritize wellness and authentic connection, accommodating up to 120 guests for receptions or 50 in theater setup.

Coastal Harvest Bar & Kitchen Opens as Community Culinary Destination

Central to the renovation is the debut of Coastal Harvest Bar & Kitchen, an all-day restaurant welcoming both hotel guests and the wider Santa Monica community for breakfast, lunch, and dinner featuring California-inspired cuisine crafted with locally sourced and sustainable ingredients.

The stylish lounge on Pico Boulevard offers a vibrant social scene for handcrafted cocktails, wine, and craft beer, positioning the restaurant as a neighborhood gathering place that extends beyond the hotel’s walls.

The renovation also introduces seven exclusive Sunset Suites, each featuring a private oceanview balcony complete with a whirlpool hot tub perfect for relaxing while watching Santa Monica’s famed sunsets over the Pacific.

Centrally located on Pico Boulevard, Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica offers walkable access to the iconic Santa Monica Pier and beaches, downtown dining on Third Street Promenade or Ocean Boulevard and Silicon Beach’s thriving tech corridor. Onsite amenities for leisure and corporate travelers include a heated saltwater pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center and complimentary beach cruiser bicycles.
