Visit Orlando’s FAM Impresses

orlandoVisit Orlando recently sponsored a virtual FAM to get meeting and incentive planners prepared for upcoming gatherings in this popular destination. As hope abounds, 605, mostly meeting planners tuned in from around the world.

This virtual immersive educational experience highlighted all the city has to offer, the number one meetings destination in the United States.

There were 26 presenters in total, including four from Visit Orlando, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando International Airport, Universal Orlando Meetings and Events, Disney Meetings and Events, and  Play with a Purpose, amongst others.

Hotels presenting included Hilton, Hyatt Regency, Rosen Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance SeaWorld, World Center Marriott, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Caribe Royale, Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin, JW Marriott Bonnet Creek and Hilton Bonnet Creek & Waldorf Astoria.

“This event was a great opportunity for planners to be virtually engaged and learn the latest destination news, as well as important safety protocols from Orlando’s airport, theme parks, attractions, venues, and our hotels and resorts,” says Mike Waterman, chief sales officer, Visit Orlando. “As planners work to rebook their events or schedule new ones, we wanted to showcase exactly how we can safely welcome groups back to the destination. Along with the additional insight provided by our destination partners, our goal was to make sure our current and prospective groups were prepared and had all the information ready to make decisions regarding their events.”

After presentations, team building company Play With a Purpose took over, infusing fun into the Zoom gathering. Trivia and other games amused and those with the most points won hotel stays, spa treatments, and more.
