All-inclusive Paradisus Cancun emerges with reimagined design and expanded event space after a transformative $50 million renovation.

The iconic pryamid architecture that has distinguished the Paradisus Cancun all-inclusive resort since it was built in 1999 hasn’t changed. But now, reopened after a $50 million renovation, the iconic Meliá Hotels International property reflects updated modern design that welcomes groups with singular Caribbean luxury. “The reopening of Paradisus Cancun embodies the essence of our purpose: to elevate luxury experiences in the world’s most coveted destinations, creating unforgettable moments in a setting that blends culture, wellness, and sophistication, all delivered with the warm, exceptional hospitality that defines Meliá,” said Gabriel Escarrer Jaume, Chairman and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, in a press statement.

Expanded meeting facilities at the resort now offer more than 32,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. There are 22 breakout rooms and venues designed to accommodate everything from corporate retreats to large conferences. Meeting space ranges from the Gran Salón del Prado for groups up to 1,200 to the Del Prado for groups up to 500 and from a variety of smaller boardrooms to outdoor spaces like the oceanfront Terraza Fahrenheit for receptions up to 200. Sate-of-the-art technology, five-star catering and a dedicated events team are part of the all-inclusive experience for every MICE program.

All 773 luxury suites at the resort have been fully redesigned with natural materials, warm color hues and handcrafted touches that reflect the Caribbean locale, as well as with modern upgrades such as updated in-room technology, rain showers and Nespresso machines. Particularly appropriate for incentive groups, the adults-only Reserve offers even more luxury, with elevated amenities and bespoke services such as private lounge spaces, reserved pool and beach areas, and access to exclusive gastronomic experiences.

Also of interest for groups are nine new culinary concepts and seven bar venues at the resort. This includes Vibra, serving contemporary cuisine, the Japanese restaurant Kao and Zesty, serving comfort food. There’s also a Gastro Hall with a mix of local and international dishes and redesigned venues that include a oceanfront steakhouse, an intimate Italian restaurant and a locally-inspired seafood restaurant.

Groups can tap into curated wellness and cultural activities at the resort, such as workshops with local artisans, cooking classes and pre-Hispanic inspired  chanting and healing sessions by the sea or in the resort’s gardens. There’s also the expansive YHI Spa, a dedicated wellness sanctuary inspired by Mayan traditions. And Paradisus Cancun participates in Meliá Hotels International’s Road to Net Zero Events program, which aims to offset the carbon footprint of MICE events by helping planners to calculate emissions and make sustainable choices.
