Unique Meeting #1: Wildlife Retreat at Taronga
Wake up to kangaroos and koalas outside your guestroom window at the Wildlife Retreat at Taronga, a truly unique resort nestled within Taronga Zoo, with breathtaking views overlooking Sydney Harbour that can also host a truly unique meeting. It’s also nice to know that every stay contributes to the care of Taronga’s animals and conservation and education programs as it is owned and operated by Taronga Conservation Society Australia, a not-for-profit, conservation-based organization. There are 62 rooms here in five sustainably designed lodges. There are many different event spaces here that can accommodate from 15 to 2,000, including ballrooms and rooftop terraces. https://taronga.org.au/sydney-zoo/wildlife-retreat/
Unique Meeting #2: Le Refuge de Solaise
Nestled in the French Alps, the ski resort of Val-d’ Isere has long been a desirable location. Now its cable car station, France’s oldest, is being turned into a hotel. Le Refuge de Solaise features four private apartments, 16 rooms and suites, and a 14-bed dormitory. Tell your group members to pack light as the hotel is only accessible via ski lift. The property opens this month. https://lerefuge-valdisere.com/en/
Unique Meeting #3: ICEHOTEL
Every year when Torne River turns to ice, a new ICEHOTEL is created north of Sweden. There are nine deluxe suites and 11 art suites in ICEHOTEL 365, the permanent part of the hotel. Each suite is made from ice and snow. In addition to the hotel, there is ARTic Hall, a gathering place for groups to sleep equipped with reindeer skins and sleeping bags. https://www.icehotel.com
