Antigua and Barbuda is on a roll as a leading MICE destination in the Caribbean.

Fresh from being recognized as the Caribbean’s Leading Meetings & Conference Destination 2025 at the World Travel Awards, the beautiful twin-islands of Antigua and Barbuda have been chosen to once again host the 2026 Caribbean Travel Marketplace (CTM).

The CTM—the region’s largest tourism forum connecting regional suppliers with global buyers—will take place May 12-15, 2026. “As we look ahead to Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2026, we are proud to continue our collaboration with Antigua and Barbuda and build on the momentum of this year’s event,” said Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) President Sanovnik Destang, in a press statement. “Marketplace continues to play a pivotal role in amplifying the Caribbean’s collective voice globally, showcasing our shared strengths, opening doors to new opportunities, and reflecting the resilience and innovation that define our region. Antigua and Barbuda’s commitment to excellence and regional partnership makes it a fitting host destination once again.”

The CTM’s return to Antigua and Barbuda reflects the destination’s capability to deliver world-class conferences—including the United Nations 4th International Conference of Small Island Developing States (SIDS4), conference in 2024, the 55th General Assembly of the Organization of American States in 2025, and the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in 2026.  “We are buoyed by the recognition of Antigua and Barbuda’s rising status as a MICE destination, said Colin C. James, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, in a press statement about the World Travel Awards win. “With our seamless air connections, a modern airport, efficient transportation, varied accommodation offerings, modern venues and qualified personnel, Antigua and Barbuda is ready to welcome and deliver exceptional service for event planners and delegates.”
