On Nov. 1, Hyatt opened its first Park Hyatt hotel in the Caribbean: the 126-room Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour.
Situated within the secluded Christophe Harbour along the beach at Banana Bay, the luxury property serves as a wellness sanctuary for groups. Its Miraval Life in Balance Spa—the first in the Caribbean—makes up 37,752 sf of the property and is designed to enhance the mind-body-spirit connection for groups. It features natural stone walls, nine treatment rooms and a fitness center that offers yoga and meditation experiences. Even the property’s 78 rooms and 48 suites offer a sense of relaxation with rain showers and deep soaking tubs. Top execs will want to indulge in the three-bedroom Presidential Villa with a private infinity pool, wellness area, personal butler and private chef.
Speaking of food, the property offers three signature restaurants serving up local and international cuisines. Fisherman’s Village dishes out seafood with a view of the water, while The Stone Barn is an adults-only restaurant, ideal for business meetings. Lastly, The Great House, designed to look like a colonial home, features a Rum Bar, herb garden, chef’s table and afternoon tea. Large-scale events can take place on one of the property’s two private event lawns with views of Banana Bay. The resort’s Reception Hall, however, also houses seven indoor event spaces.
Beyond the resort, groups can participate in one of the property’s enriching “journeys,” curated to give attendees a sense of the island’s history, culture and people. Excursions include everything from walks with an island historian to visiting the UNESCO Brimstone Hill Fortress to a rainforest exploration.
