Loews Hotels & Co. is preparing to significantly expand its meetings and events footprint in North Texas with Americana by Loews Hotels – Arlington, TX. This purpose-built property will add more than 83,000 sf of indoor and outdoor event space to the Arlington Sports and Entertainment District.
Designed with group business as a core driver, the 507-room hotel (including 39 suites) will feature 44,789 sf of interior meeting space, anchored by a 17,337-sf Grand Ballroom, a 6,808-sf Junior Ballroom and 10,644 sf of breakout rooms suitable for concurrent sessions, workshops and board-level meetings.
Planners will also have access to approximately 24,000 sf of pre-function space, enabling smoother flow for registration, exhibits and networking.
A Modern Take on the Event Barn Concept
A standout element is the 10,000-sf Event Barn, conceived as a flexible venue for general sessions, gala dinners, receptions or experiential activations. In total, the property will offer 38,651 sf of exterior meeting space, including a 23,820-sf Event Lawn, a 7,633-sf Pool Terrace and several smaller terraces that can support al fresco receptions, private dinners or hospitality events tied to nearby venues.
The new hotel will replace the existing Sheraton Arlington Hotel. Once completed, Americana by Loews will become the brand’s 28th property and its third hotel in Arlington.
From a destination standpoint, Arlington continues to evolve as a major meetings hub within the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, benefiting from proximity to major airports, professional sports venues, live entertainment and a growing hotel campus.
With the addition of Americana by Loews, the company’s Arlington portfolio will total 1,695 guest rooms and more than 374,000 sf combined indoor and outdoor meeting space, making it a credible option for large conventions, multi-day conferences, and high-profile corporate programs.
