Sioux Falls SculptureWalk

The falls from which Sioux Falls got its name are this city’s top outdoor attraction, but there are other lesser-known ways to see South Dakota’s largest city. The SculptureWalk, comprised of rotating art from a range of artists, is one of the largest outdoor sculpture exhibits in the country. The walk is centered around the downtown area and specifically Phillips Avenue, where there are plenty of cafes and interesting shops interspersed between the sculptures. A free map lists all sculptures. SculptureWalk is soon to be anchored by a tribute for dreamers called “The Arc of Dreams,” which a massive stainless steel sculpture that will stretch across the Big Sioux River downtown nearly the length of a football field. The center of the arc will contain a gap representing the leap of faith that dreamers take when actualizing their dreams.
