The Sertoma Butterfly House offers classes in harmonic sound therapy using Tibetan singing bowls.

There’s a lot you—and your attendees—might not know about Sioux Falls. The Falls, from which the city got its name, are a must-see, but here are a few lesser-known attractions and activities:

SculptureWalk—The sculpture walk is centered around the downtown area and specifically Phillips Avenue. This activity puts attendees in the heart of the action and there are plenty of cafes and creative shops interspersed between the sculptures. (A free map lists all sculptures, some of which are not located on Philips.)

Foodie Honors—The New York Times recently featured Sioux Falls for its emerging foodie scene, with many local farm-to-fork restaurants, most located in the 10-block downtown, which makes organizing dinearounds a breeze. There’s everything from Sanaa’s Gourmet Mediterranean, located in a former railroad warehouse; to M. B. Haskett in a former brothel; to The Market, known for its food and wine pairings.

The Museum of Visual Materials—Located in the city’s first LEED Platinum–certified building, this facility, with its unique quartzite walls and rustic decor, is one of the city’s lesser-known function spaces, accommodating up to 236 banquet-style.

Wellness at the Sertoma Butterfly House—This local attraction has a roster of healing and wellness classes for groups to join in, from harmonic sound therapy using Tibetan singing bowls to yoga and Tai Chi classes.

Rise Raceway—Sioux Falls’ newest indoor attraction features electric go-kart racing, a multilevel rock climbing wall, mini golf and batting cages, and is the perfect setting for a corporate outing. Groups can also rent the entire facility by the hour.
