Opal Collection Turns 10, Offers Incentives & Gifts

Coming to Clearwater Beach in 2025, the Opal Sol will offer 57,000 sf of event space.

Opal Collection is commemorating its 10th anniversary with a special celebration offer that contains exclusive incentives, including complimentary guest rooms, upgrades, and turn-down gifts. In addition, meeting planners get a complimentary champagne toast and a $1,000 Opal Collection gift card.

The Opal Collection offers a premier assortment of luxury hotels and resorts with locations along the East Coast from Bar Harbor ME to Key West FL, where every meeting space is designed for creativity and inspiration. Waterfront restaurants, vibrant bars, tranquil spas, and championship golf complement the overall guest experience.

To take advantage of the promotion, meetings must be booked by Aug. 31, 2024 and take place by Dec. 31, 2024 (with the exception of Opal Sol, which may be used by Dec. 31, 2025). Click here for more information or to submit your RFP.

New Curated “Experiences” & Online Resource for Meeting Planners

Opal Collection also has launched new online “Experiences” content giving meeting planners a simplified way to connect their groups and attendees with the local community through enhanced programming and engagement opportunities.

Available on the meetings page of each of its 20 hotels and resorts with meeting facilities, the curated programming is organized into four categories—Community, Energize, Sustainability and Wellness. The new Experiences content includes various local organizations and opportunities that have been carefully reviewed and approved by resort staff for volunteer and sustainability outreach. The content includes several resort-centric teambuilding events and wellness classes as well.

Community options include bike-building for the Boys & Girls Club, prepping hygiene kits for Clean the World, volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary, or participating in a coral reef restoration project. Options in the “Energize” section include scavenger hunts, be-your-own-bartender classes, kayak excursions and sandcastle building competitions.

Groups interested in Sustainability will find opportunities for tree planting, beach cleanup, building a living Green Wall, maintaining trails with the Adirondack Mountain Club, and sea turtle support along Florida’s Atlantic shores. Wellness experiences include yoga and water aerobics classes, sound baths, salt therapy and more.

“While at the Reefhouse Resort and Marina, the property arranged a coral reef restoration project at the Mote Marine Laboratory Coral Nursery, combined with a reception of creative and delightful plant-based foods,” noted Steffi Kordy, managing director of Cocoon Incentives, in an announcement from Opal. “Our attendees not only learned about the importance of coral reefs, but also felt they left a real impact when they helped fragment the corals. This corporate social responsibility activity was memorable, meaningful, educative, and fun.”
