A multimillion-dollar renovation of the storied Rimrock resort includes more than 18,000 sf of reimagined meeting space.
Rimrock Banff, nestled in one of Canada’s most majestic and pristine mountain settings, is emerging this summer from a multimillion-dollar, property wide renovation. A dedicated focus on meetings and events includes more than 18,000 sf of reimagined meeting space that can accommodate groups of up to 600. All offer state-of-the-art technology in contemporary settings. There’s a total of 12 meeting rooms, from the 6,077-sf elegant, flexible Solstice Ballroom to the light-filled 390-sf Meridian Boardroom with expansive views of the Canadian Rockies.
Nature-inspired hues, contemporary style and sweeping mountain views inform all areas of the resort, including the 320 rooms and suites decorated with a residential design hand. There’s a new culinary focus as well, offering a range of group dining experiences. “Rimrock’s culinary program is designed with intention at every level, drawing from local flavors and ingredient-driven storytelling to elevate group dining beyond the expected,” said Karla Garant, director of food, beverage and entertainment, in a press statement.

In other news, Rimrock Banff will join Emblems Collection, Accor’s new ultra-luxury brand, in fall 2026 as the first Emblems Collection resort in North America. The resort’s strategic positioning for meetings and events is being led by its new Director of Sales & Marketing, David Marques. Most recently, Marques served as director of sales and marketing at Accor’s Mercure London Earls Court, where he oversaw the group and events business during a major refurbishment and repositioning of the flagship property. “To open a property like Rimrock Banff in a destination as extraordinary as Banff National Park is a rare opportunity,” said Marques. “My goal is to create experiences where groups can connect with each other, and with nature, in ways that feel inspiring, transformative, and deeply rooted in the beauty of Banff.”
With more than 2,5000 square miles of protected alpine terrain, the surrounding landscape offers groups immersive activities led by expert guides—from half or full day mountain adventures to shorter breaks woven between sessions such as guided forest walks. Groups also have the opportunity to access shared programming with the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs, Rimrock’s sister property under Accor. Together, the properties offer more than 95,000 square feet of meeting and event space, over 50 indoor and outdoor venues, 900 guest rooms and suites, coordinated transportation and logistics between properties, and access to an expansive collection of wellness, dining and recreation experiences throughout Banff National Park.
