In Silicon Valley, Women’s History Month festivities include art exhibits, concerts, book club meetups, author and art talks, craft activities and more.

Women’s View 2026 → The 20th annual exhibition recognizes and celebrates over 100 women artists who live, go to school or work in San Mateo County, including works by women artists at the Maple Street Correctional Center. A reception to celebrate “Women’s View 2026” will be held March 15; attendees will be able to meet the artists and enjoy refreshments. March 4-29 at the Twin Pines Art Center (in the Manor House), Belmont.

“Making Waves: Currents of Change” → The Center for Creativity at the Hotel Sequoia in Redwood City is hosting an exhibit celebrating women artists and environmental consciousness for Women’s History Month and Earth Month in April. The exhibition includes poetry, mixed media, sculpture and more across six gallery spaces. Exhibit runs March 5-April 26. Hours vary; check online for the latest schedule.
Graphic Novel Book Club → featuring “Feeding Ghosts” by Tessa Hall; an English as a Second Language conversation group with Women’s History Month as the topic; and an ICYMI Movie Night screening of “One of Them Days” (rated R) starring SZA and Keke Palmer. Palo Alto Library, various dates.
“The Goddess: Images of Power” → This art talk will explore the depictions of goddesses throughout Asia using examples from the Asian Art Museum’s permanent collection. Space is limited, and registration is required. March 17, Millbrae Library; March 24, San Carlos Library; March 27, East Palo Alto Library. Free.
Women in Biking → This online workshop from Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition will teach women biking essentials to feel more confident on the road. March 16, online. Free.

Women in Wine Social → TETRA Hotel is hosting an evening dedicated to women in the wine industry, featuring wine lovers, winery reps and industry partners. Selections from Frank Family Vineyards and Daou Vineyards will be poured. March 17, TETRA Hotel, Sunnyvale. Free entry.
Ruth Asawa-Inspired Garland Sculpture → Adults can learn about midcentury sculptor Ruth Asawa and craft garlands inspired by her work. The workshop will include space for 20, with 10 spots available for online registration and 10 spaces for in-person sign-ups. March 20, Brisbane Library. Free.
Viola Frey and Clay → Inspired by the flea market knickknacks artist Viola Frey incorporated into her sculptures, adults will make their own versions of whimsical everyday items out of clay. The workshops will include space for 20, with 10 spots available for online registration and 10 spaces for in-person signups. Cypress Lawn’s Women’s History Tour → Take a trolley tour through a cemetery and learn about significant women interred at Cypress Lawn. A light lunch will be provided. March 28, Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Colma.
Writer/Musician Esther Young → PowerHouse will host an important evening of poetry and music, headlined by writer and musician Esther Young. Her set will include songs from her 2022 EP Small Hands, Heavy Heart, and she will be joined by three poets (Kristina Robertson, Marissa Martinez, Kim Johnson) and interpretive dancer Paulina Huynh Nhu. March 21 at PowerHouse, San Jose.
Virtual Author Talk: Valerie Neal → A belated Women’s History Month event, author Valerie Neal will discuss her book “On a Mission,” which documents the 45-year history of female astronauts. April 2, online. Free.
