Younger generations want AI solutions that reduce information overload, says event production company Encore.

Studies suggest that Gen Z individuals, born between the late 1990s and the early 2010s and projected to become the largest generation in the workplace by 2030, can face serious challenges at meetings and events. On the one hand, they are constantly engaged with technology, toggling between screens and multitasking. They respond to short-form, visual-first content and interactive formats like livestreams. At the same time, 53 percent of Gen Z self-identify as neurodivergent. Neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism, ADHD and dyslexia, face challenges in digital environments such as sensory overload, inconsistent navigation and unreadable text.

The way to engage Gen Z at meetings and events is by using accessible and inclusive AI functionalities, says event production company Encore. The company’s latest Planner Pulse survey reveals that while almost 50 percent of event planners dabble with AI in some capacity, only 11 percent are actively using it. They’ve developed a series of tools called Encore AI Solutions that helps planners to meet the needs of Gen Z attendees (as well as stressed-out or neurodivergent attendees of any age). “Gen Z expects fast, intuitive and personalized experiences that reduce friction and support different ways of processing information. And increasingly, all audiences are feeling the effects of information overload,” said Christopher Baron, senior director of innovation at Encore, in a press release. “Our goal at Encore is to design solutions that meet these needs holistically using AI and digital tools to inform, but also to simplify and connect.”
