Business Industry Events Week Business Events Industry Week, a collaboration between three of the top events and hospitality industry associations, was such a success in its inaugural outing that it’s coming back to Washington, D.C., March 7–9, 2023.

Last March, more than 2,000 meeting and events professionals flocked to the nation’s capitol to advance the role that business meetings and events play in the economic, social and intellectual enrichment of individuals and communities. The series of events dedicated to the meetings industry community, commerce, content, awards and advocacy was so successful that the organizers — the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), Destinations International (DI) and the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) are bringing it back to the  Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center March 7–9, 2023.

“After two years of restrictions on gatherings, communities, organizations and people that rely on events to enhance their quality of life are suffering. It’s time to restore what has been lost and build a pathway forward,” the organizers said on the event website.

“The current environment has given us permission to experiment even more, as our members, customers and audiences are looking for new solutions to complex challenges, as well as solving old problems,” added Sherrif Karamat, CAE, PCMA President and CEO; DI President and CEO Don Welsh; and IAEE President and CEO David DuBois.

Registration is already open on one unified platform to make it easy to sign up for any or all of the five co-located events that are planned for the event, now renamed Power of Purpose (POP) Business Events Industry Week 2023:
