Delta Air Lines is advancing its premium cabin strategy with plans to introduce a next-generation Delta One suite on its incoming Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, while upgrading its Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 fleet with new suite-style seating.
The A350-1000, Delta’s newest and largest aircraft, will enter service in early 2027 and feature a 50 percent premium seat mix. At the same time, Delta will retrofit its A330-200/300 aircraft with Delta One suites equipped with sliding privacy doors—marking a first for that fleet.
Together, the initiatives represent part of a broader fleet investment exceeding $1 billion.
“Every time a customer boards a Delta flight, the experience and surroundings should feel familiar—creating a sense of home and comfort when you’re away,” said Mauricio Parise, VP of Brand Experience, in an online statement. “That was the driving factor behind every intentional design feature and investment we made in developing our brand new A350-1000 experience, which we extended through nose-to-tail upgrades of our A330-200/300s and will continue to roll out across our fleet.”

Focus on Premium Consistency Across the Fleet
The upgrades follow Delta’s 2025 rollout of a refreshed onboard design, which the airline says contributed to a 25-point increase in customer satisfaction. Delta will install the updated interiors across more than 800 aircraft over the next five years, aligning new deliveries with retrofitted planes.
Delta expects that by 2030, approximately 90 percent of its Delta One seats will feature suites with privacy doors.
Enhanced Delta One Experience and Cabin Upgrades
The redesigned Delta One suite on the A350-1000 includes a longer lie-flat bed, updated cushioning and additional personal storage. Each suite features a 24-inch seatback screen—the largest in Delta’s fleet—along with Bluetooth connectivity and wireless charging.
The airline will also introduce dedicated refreshment stations for Delta One passengers and maintain a reverse-herringbone configuration that increases privacy and cabin space. Delta will incorporate many of these features, including updated lighting, USB-C power and tactile seat controls, into the A330 retrofit program.
Beyond business class, Delta is updating all cabins with new seating that includes increased legroom in select sections, memory foam cushions, and upgraded in-flight entertainment systems with 4K-resolution screens and expanded content libraries.
The investment also includes accessibility upgrades such as redesigned seat controls and larger lavatories to improve the onboard experience for travelers with reduced mobility.
