Alaska Airlines has unveiled its new International Business Class as part of its long-haul expansion into Europe and Asia. Launching this spring, the premium cabin debut coincides with the airline’s first nonstop routes from Seattle to Rome, London, Seoul and Tokyo.
New for Alaska Airlines’ Long-Haul Travel
The new International Business Class features lie-flat seats with privacy doors and direct aisle access, along with updated in-flight entertainment systems and personal power options. For meals, travelers receive restaurant-quality, multi-course dining with regionally inspired menus, pre-selected entree options and a curated lineup of premium wines, cocktails and beverages.

In addition to onboard upgrades, International Business Class travelers will have access to Alaska Airlines’ lounge network and partner lounges worldwide, expanding premium ground experience options. The airline also plans to introduce Starlink WiFi on its Dreamliner fleet later this year.
The product launch aligns with Alaska’s broader strategy to establish Seattle as a key international gateway. Initial service includes service to Rome beginning April 28, followed by London on May 21 and Reykjavík on May 28. Flights to Seoul are also set to begin in April, with Tokyo service planned for later in the year.
While historically focused on domestic and transborder routes, the airline is now targeting long-haul growth with a product designed to meet evolving expectations of premium travelers.
