Turning 70 has its benefits—especially if you’re the Disneyland Resort, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year with so many new events and attractions, the festivities will run through summer 2026.

Planners, if your groups will be in and around the Anaheim area from May 16, 2025 through next summer, you won’t miss the fun during Disneyland‘s milestone occasion of limited-time entertainment, colorful decor, themed food and beverages, collectible merchandise and more.

Here’s a quick look at what’s coming to Disneyland this year:

An artist’s rendering of the new World of Color show.
  • The all-new “World of Color” show at Disney California Adventure Park will be hosted by Joy and the other Emotions from the hit Pixar Animation Studios films “Inside Out” and “Inside Out 2,” transforming Paradise Bay with signature fountains, lighting, colorful lasers, fog and dramatic flame effects along with music featuring classic Disney songs as well as music from Boyz II Men and Fitz of Fitz and the Tantrums.
  • The “Paint the Night Parade” makes a grand return to Disneyland for the 70th celebration, lighting up Main Street, U.S.A., with stunning color and more than a million brilliant LED lights.
  • Disneyland celebrates the legacy of Walt Disney Animation Studios classics with the return of the nighttime spectacular, “Wondrous Journeys” with moments from “Hercules,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Peter Pan,” “Frozen,” “Big Hero 6,” “Moana” and “Encanto,” among others.
  • The facade of It’s a Small World will come to life each night through light, music and projection effects as “Tapestry of Happiness” creates an animated mosaic of Disneyland attractions, moments and memories brought to life in a unique style inspired by the work of legendary Disney artist Mary Blair. In addition, when the ride reopens on April 25, 2025, you’ll see and hear something new—Miguel and his trusted alebrije, Dante, from the Pixar film “Coco” will join the other children in song.
  • Disneyland park will debut a new character promenade called “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade.” As it winds its way along the parade route, favorite characters will encourage visitors to dance and clap along in an energetic and contemporary celebration of seven decades of happiness.

    Must-have anniversary merch.
  • Decor and Attire—not only will Mickey, Minnie and all their pals be decked out in anniversary attire, the entire park will feature celebration colors and details, from flowers to multi-colored banners. 70th decor will extend into Downtown Disney and the hotels of the Disneyland Resort.
  • From ears and accessories to plush toys and home decor, there will be all-new merchandise during the 70th.
