MeetGB, meetings
The setting for a fabulous gala dinner was Hampton Court Palace, home of Henry VIII.

Meeting planners from throughout Europe and the U.S. got a delicious taste of Great Britain’s finest during the MeetGB trade show April 10 to 12 at De Vere Beaumont Estate in Windsor.

More than 70 Visit Britain partners, from Wales to Northern Ireland to Liverpool and everything in between, took part in MeetGB, at two-day appointment-based event. Highlights included an opening reception at The Chapel at Beaumont Estate and a gala dinner at Hampton Court Palace.

Attendees participated in various educational fams throughout Great Britain in the preceding days, including the destinations of Birmingham, Bristol and Bath, Cambridge, Devon, Leeds and York, London, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Shakespeare’s England and Wales. An exciting London itinerary started at the elegant Cliveden House, a five-star country house hotel in Berkshire, took a fresh look at the city with a visit to the Shangri-La at the Shard and Sea Containers London. The group had the chance to sample a VIP experience aboard the London Eye that included champagne and sweets in their own private pod. While in Windsor, many guests found time to tour Windsor Castle at the exact moment that the world was awaiting the birth of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new baby.

For meeting planners interested in bringing business to Great Britain who were not able to attend MeetGB, Prevue is hosting a joint event with Visit Britain on June 3 to 4 in National Harbor, Md., where 20 of the same partners will be in attendance. The educational program includes sessions on Brexit, GDPR, visas and more.  Learn more here.
