JetBlue has expanded its transatlantic network with a new European destination. Last week, the airline began seasonal daily service between Boston and Barcelona, running through Oct. 25.

Barcelona is JetBlue’s second destination in Spain, behind Madrid, and its seventh in Europe overall.

“The launch of service between Boston and Barcelona marks another exciting step in JetBlue’s transatlantic service,” said Marty St. George, JetBlue President, in a media announcement. “We’re excited to introduce our first service to Spain’s Catalonia region, connecting two dynamic global hubs and expanding our international reach. This route builds on our existing transatlantic presence from Boston and gives customers more choice and value when traveling between the U.S. and Europe.”

The new route makes it easier to travel between Boston and Barcelona, cities long linked by strong ties in education, business and culture. Both are centers for innovation, life sciences and the arts, and the added service is expected to deepen those connections.

With Barcelona now in the mix, and Milan on the way, JetBlue plans to operate up to nine daily nonstop flights between Boston and Europe this summer, part of its broader push to grow its East Coast network under the JetForward strategy. From Boston, the airline serves more than 65 destinations with over 130 daily departures.

Special Inaugural Fares

To celebrate the launch, limited one-way introductory fares are available starting at $349 in coach and $1,799 in Mint for Boston-originating travelers.

Flights to Barcelona will be operated on JetBlue’s A321 aircraft with Mint, featuring fully lie-flat private suites and menus created in partnership with well-known New York restaurants. Paired with the airline’s Core experience—free Fly-Fi, seatback screens, and complimentary snacks and drinks—JetBlue aims to offer a more comfortable ride without the high price tag.

Even in coach, the airline leans into extras, with complimentary meals from Dig Inn, a broad selection of snacks and beverages, and seatback entertainment at every seat. Passengers in both Mint and Core can stay connected with fast, free Fly-Fi and stream across multiple devices. Together, JetBlue’s transatlantic service is designed to make a more premium experience accessible while supporting the destinations it serves.
