Disney Meetings & Events expands offerings for motivational meetings.
Planners know that Disney sets the bar for creativity, inspirational experiences and state-of-the-art meeting space. Opened earlier this year, the reimagined Disney Creative Studio, located at Walt Disney World Resort, brings together creative resources such as entertainment and content, audio/visual support, décor, floral, catering and more. It’s the place to collaborate with the Disney Meetings & Events team to design custom-tailored, soup-to-nuts programming. The team includes sales and services managers, event producers, culinary experts and others who offer proactive problem-solving and a proven approach to experiential design.
Hotel renovations and reimagined group experiences are also part of the ever-evolving Disney DNA for meetings and events. New and on the horizon for groups:
The refurbished Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Convention Center at Walt Disney World Resort has reopened with enhancements and fresh finishes retaining the elegant Victorian vibe that the hotel is known for. Among the 40,000 square feet of flexible meeting space are ballrooms, breakout rooms and well-appointed boardrooms. The largest ballroom is the 18,216 sq-ft Grand Floridian, accommodating up to 2,000 people for a reception. It can also be divided into nine sections with six separate meeting rooms that accommodate between 30 and 300 attendees. The multi-year refurbishment of the Grand Floridian is ongoing and encompasses the lobby, guest rooms and restaurants.
A redesign of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Convention Center will begin in 2026. With more than 228,000 sq-ft of total function space, it is one of the largest, single-level hotel convention centers on the east coast of the U.S. The new design will update the stylistic hand for which the hotel is known, celebrating the vibrant cultures and natural landscapes of Spain, Mexico and the American Southwest. Contemporary touches include an updated color palette and an overall design style leveraging the expertise of the Walt Disney Imagineering team that brought to life the neighboring Gran Destino Tower.
Known for combining iconic storytelling with purposeful, play-based learning, Disney Meetings & Events has introduced a new team-building activity called Toy Story—Out of the Toy Box, inspired by the beloved animated film series. It joins other popular team-building offerings, including a high-energy, competitive session based on the stories and adventures of Star Wars. Leading experts in the field help to develop these themed activities that take standard team building to a whole new level.
