Signia Hilton Savannah has reached its topping-out milestone, marking progress toward an anticipated 2028 opening.

The 444-room hotel will connect directly to the Savannah Convention Center, strengthening Savannah’s ability to host larger conventions, citywide meetings and multi-day events.

The new hotel will offer all-day dining.

The property will offer more than 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 13,000-square-foot ballroom. Additional amenities will include Club Signia, an outdoor pool and five food and beverage venues, giving meeting planners more options for group dining, networking and downtime.

The hotel’s culinary program is being developed in partnership with Savannah-based hospitality company Grey Spaces, led by acclaimed chef Mashama Bailey and restaurateur Johno Morisano. The partnership is expected to bring a locally influenced dining experience to the riverfront property.

Owned by the Savannah-Georgia Convention Center Authority, Signia Hilton Savannah is being developed with Songy Highroads and Matthews Southwest Hospitality and will be managed by Hilton. It will be the second Signia Hilton property in Georgia, joining the brand’s growing portfolio of upscale hotels focused on meetings, events, dining and wellness.

The hotel is designed to complement the expanded Savannah Convention Center, creating a more integrated convention campus with accommodations directly connected to the venue. The combination is expected to help the destination compete for larger conventions and events that require substantial room blocks and meeting space in one location.

Construction has involved more than 1,200 individual workers, with more than 300 onsite daily. The nearly 200-foot tower is supported by 1,135 auger piles extending more than 81,000 linear feet, while crews have poured more than 27,000 cubic yards of concrete and installed 2,700 tons of reinforcing steel.
