Prevue caught up with the team and individual competitor who topped the leaderboard during the IMEX Frankfurt Wellbeing Challenge 2025, held May 20-22 during the annual trade show.
Powered by Heka Health—creators of custom-designed, turnkey wellness challenges—and sponsored by Caesars Entertainment, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and PCMA, the IMEX Frankfurt Wellbeing Challenge 2025 invited teams and individuals to participate in a range of wellbeing activities while enjoying some healthy competition with their peers.
Participants earned chances to win amazing prizes for reaching Challenge Goals and working their way up the leaderboard, with activities including weightlifting, stretching, squats and aerobics.
Prevue reached out to members of Team India, who won a team race that was described as “incredibly close and came down to the last second.”
“We’re truly delighted that Team India topped the leaderboard at the IMEX Frankfurt Wellbeing Challenge. It was such a fun and energizing experience,” says Ashmi Dharia, Founder and Holiday Curator of Mumbai-based Gypsy Soul Holidays. “But more than anything, the real reward was the sense of camaraderie and team spirit it fostered. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with others and enjoy a bit of friendly, healthy competition.”
Going Solo
Handily besting the field of single competitors in the final top 10 on the leaderboard was “islandgirl,” aka Shermell Williams, Director of Operations for Messe Frankfurt North America, who earned 118,442 points—over 15,000 points more than her nearest challenger.
“I’m a naturally competitive person, so I really enjoy participating in wellness challenges,” Williams says.” I placed third during IMEX America 2024, so I’m already looking forward to seeing what IMEX America 2025 has in store. Hopefully, there’s another challenge. I’ll be ready!”
Williams is in luck. IMEX America 2025—to be held Oct. 7-9 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas—will host a Wellbeing Challenge, designed by Maritz and powered by Heka Health.
