MGM Grand Las Vegas is adding 250,000 sf to its conference center.

Prevue was on hand for the groundbreaking of a $130 million expansion to MGM Grand Las Vegas’ Conference Center.

The MGM Grand Las Vegas Conference Center is adding 250,000 sf for a total of more than 850,000 square feet. As part of the expansion, Stay Well Meetings will encompass the Conference Center’s entire second floor. Prevue recently used the Stay Well conference space and rooms for Meet Well, the first-ever event focused on integrating wellness into meetings and incentive programs.

“The expansion of Stay Well Meetings, along with our 340 Stay Well accommodations, allows MGM Grand to offer a completely unique destination for groups that carries through the entire resort experience—from the board room to the guest room,” said Ernest Stovall, vice president of sales for MGM Grand.

The new convention center space will include a new 5,500-sf outdoor courtyard, 49,000-sf ballroom, 32,000-sf ballroom and additional smaller ballrooms and meeting rooms, and is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2018.

In addition, ARIA is adding 200,000 sf of meeting space, to be completed in February of 2018. Highlights include a $12 million Willow Lounge, a creative C-Suite lounge with the feel of a library and its own pantry, as well as a top floor open-air verandah that will be popular for functions.
