“At Hotel Zephyr, we <3 nerds,” states the website of the newly opened Hotel Zephyr. While the San Francisco hotel’s décor and overall mentality encourage attendees to embrace the Bay Area’s tech-forward culture, its playful Millennial Meetings package will also attract groups looking for a hotel with all the high-tech amenities, minus the stuffy suit-and-tie atmosphere.

One of the package’s highlights is its use of The Yard at Hotel Zephyr, the largest outside hotel venue on Fisherman’s Wharf. Its 8,000 sf of space engages attendees with onsite teambuilding exercises and games. Life-sized Jenga, a giant Connect Four board and a full-sized shuffleboard court entice the kid-at-heart in everyone, all while encouraging strategy and collaboration—two key business practices found in the workplace. In between playing, attendees can network around the firepit surrounded by cushy chairs or have a round of drinks at the high-top tables.

Attendees can also move the game time inside to the 1,610-sf indoor Game Room, complete with pool and ping pong tables in addition to interactive Samsung Smart Tvs that offer connectivity and presentation capabilities. Communal seating adds to the laidback setting, encouraging attendees to feel comfortable sharing ideas and collaborating.

While the Millennial Meetings package offers this think-tank atmosphere onsite, it also encourages groups to volunteer offsite. Hotel staff can help organize a group service project through the Golden Gate Parks National Conservancy for more than 50 attendees hoping to get their hands a little dirty, while exploring the city’s beautiful parks.

Groups can also work with the hotel to learn more about the local culture via a private Segway tour with Electric Tour Company. The Boudin Museum & Bakery Tour also takes attendees behind the scenes to learn more about the city’s famed sourdough bread. A video game will put attendees to the test as they practice their skills as bakers and determine their bread-type personalities. A visit to the tasting room concludes the delicious experience.
