These hotels offer meeting and event spaces for planners seeking boutique-style venues in Texas. From Houston to Austin, they’re ideal for those who want to think big in Texas—while keeping events intimate with smaller hotels.

The Greenleigh to Debut in Houston’s River Oaks District

Houston’s meetings and events landscape is set to welcome a new boutique-style option with the opening of The Greenleigh in the spring of 2026. Located in the city’s River Oaks District, the 299-room hotel will offer more than 13,000 sf of versatile indoor and outdoor event space, allowing planners to host everything from executive meetings to receptions. The mix of flexible layouts and open-air environments supports incentive groups and smaller corporate gatherings.

The hotel’s setting in River Oaks also places groups close to Houston’s dining, shopping and cultural attractions, while still providing a retreat-like atmosphere within the city.

Culinary and Social Venues for Group Buyouts

Food and beverage will play a central role in the guest and group experience. The hotel’s signature restaurant, dLeña, will be led by chef Richard Sandoval, offering wood-fired Mexican and Oaxacan cuisine with a focus on grilling. Additional venues include Highgrass, a rooftop bar with panoramic city views, as well as a swim club and the more intimate Trade Room Bar, providing planners with multiple settings for networking events, cocktail receptions and off-agenda gatherings without leaving the property.

The Greenleigh is expected to attract planners seeking a more intimate alternative to large convention hotels—particularly for executive retreats, incentive programs and corporate meetings.

Boutique Hotel bohème in East Austin

A new boutique hotel is set to enter Austin’s small-meetings and incentive market in summer 2026. Developed by Elysian Real Estate Group, the 20-room bohème will be located at 400 Comal St. in East Austin, offering a highly curated, buyout-driven option for planners seeking intimate group experiences.

Positioned in one of Austin’s most creative and walkable neighborhoods, bohème is designed to reflect the city’s cultural identity while offering flexibility for corporate retreats, executive offsites, creative workshops and incentive-style gatherings.

Designed for Buyouts and Private Groups

With just 20 guest rooms, including 14 standard rooms and six individually designed signature suites, bohème is available for partial- and full-property buyouts. Planners can reserve individual floors for smaller groups or secure the entire hotel for larger gatherings.

Rather than traditional ballrooms, bohème emphasizes adaptable, multi-use spaces that can be tailored to each group’s needs. Meeting and event options include: The Start Up, a meeting room designed for focused sessions of up to 8 guests, or up to 14 for tighter layouts or informal gatherings. Several additional flexible spaces throughout the property can be configured for groups of up to approximately 50 guests, depending on setup and programming

Signature suites include themes inspired by Austin’s startup culture, music scene, film legacy, and creative icons, offering a highly experiential stay that incentive and creative groups increasingly seek. Public areas will include a rooftop bar, lobby bar and a ground-floor grocer, with additional food and beverage concepts planned for the future.

Food, Beverage & Social Venues

The hotel will debut Wilhelm & Werner, a Texas brasserie with European influences, offering indoor and outdoor seating for up to 130 guests across its dining room, bar and patio. Below the restaurant, Walter’s, a basement speakeasy inspired by the Prohibition era, will provide an intimate setting for craft cocktails and private gatherings.

Additional social spaces include the Prince Solms Lobby Bar, which also services the Magnolia Patio, creating multiple options for hosted events without leaving the property.
