The wickedly modern V-shaped AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen and attached Bella Center Copenhagen provide the largest hotel/convention center package in Scandinavia. The facilities are located on the outskirts of the Danish capital about 10 minutes away from Copenhagen Airport, and 15 minutes via spotless public trains into the downtown core.
Newly rebranded by Marriott’s AC Hotels brand this winter, the Bella Sky commands attention from miles away with it unique slanting towers and triangle windows. Inside, the lobby bar and reception greets you with a long living green wall and two-story floor-to-ceiling windows. On the mezzanine level, the main BM Restaurant can be rented for large group dinners, and the buffet lunch is super high energy with communal tables and a huge array of healthy food options sourced locally.
Up on the 23rd floor, the Sky Bar is one of the most dramatic lounges in Copenhagen with views from all three sides overlooking the city. The vertiginous venue has a grand piano, small bar, and several different seating areas so you get a good flow of movement with everyone walking around taking in the different panoramas.
The rooms are minimalist with a lot of natural light (especially the corner rooms), tasteful designer furnishings, a charcoal/white color palette, slim desk and large flat screen TVs. Fast Wi-Fi worked in the rooms throughout the stay.
On the ground floor of the second tower, the Bella Sky Spa is a true destination wellness facility with cold and warm baths, an ice fountain, steam bath, rain sky showers, hot beds for relaxation, and a large sauna.
The best parts of Bella Sky are the streamlined modern ambience and all of the natural light in both the guest rooms and public spaces. Preferred rooms for groups are in the spa tower closer to the convention facilities.
Bella Center & Comwell Conference Center
Linking Bella Sky to Bella Center, the Comwell Conference Center just completed a $3 million design upgrade to integrate the experience more seamlessly with the hotel. The huge glass wall running the full length of the facility lets in tons of light, illuminating the giant foyer outfitted with comfortable modern seating and tables for casual networking.
That leads into the enormous raw Bella Center space with 50-foot tall ceilings and live trees stretching to the glass roof. Altogether, there are 48 meeting and function spaces, including a 4,200-seat congress hall.
