These hotels are making a case for meetings that come with a destination built in. From Mexico’s Pacific coast to Italy’s Lake Garda and Lisbon’s Tagus River waterfront, they pair flexible meeting spaces with incentive-worthy experiences, wellness, culture and food—giving groups plenty of reasons to linger after the agenda wraps.

Omni Pontoque: Oceanfront Meetings to Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit

Set along 50 oceanfront acres in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit, Omni Pontoque at Punta de Mita is preparing to open in spring 2027 with a sizable meetings offering designed for leadership retreats, incentive programs and other group events.

The first luxury property in Mexico from Omni Hotels & Resorts, the resort will feature 27,295 sf of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a ballroom, oceanfront pavilion and event lawns.

The centerpiece of the meetings portfolio is the 5,869-sf Parota Ballroom, which features expansive windows and opens onto the 6,475-square-foot Papelillo Event Lawn, which can accommodate up to 750 guests. Three private breakout rooms will provide more intimate settings for leadership retreats and summits.

For outdoor programs, the Tzicuri Pavilion will pair a patio and lawn overlooking the Pacific Ocean, creating a setting for receptions and celebrations. All meeting spaces will feature advanced AV technology and high-speed connectivity.

The resort’s location also gives planners plenty of options for building destination experiences into a program. Groups can arrange guided nature tours and boat charters to the uninhabited Islas Marietas, while mountain trails, ATV routes and ziplining offer more adventurous ways to explore the surrounding landscape.

On property, groups will have access to five pools, a private 1,250-foot white-sand beach, three ocean-view restaurants and an 11,105-sf spa with 14 treatment rooms. The resort will have 202 guest rooms, 28 junior suites, 14 suites with private plunge pools and two four-bedroom residential-style villas.

Grand Hotel Fasano: Flexible Meeting Space on Lake Garda

Groups can take meetings lakeside at Grand Hotel Fasano, the five-star, family-owned hotel on Italy’s Lake Garda. The property has introduced Sala Giardino, a new 1,679-sf meetings and events space available for events beginning Oct. 1, 2026.

Designed for flexibility, Sala Giardino can operate as one venue or split into two meeting rooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Lake Garda, while direct garden access gives planners an easy transition from meetings to outdoor receptions and other events. The space accommodates up to 100 guests for cocktail receptions and theater-style conferences and up to 80 for banquets. Divided, the rooms can host smaller groups of up to 48 and 32 guests, respectively, or accommodate boardroom and presidential-table setups for up to 30 delegates each.

The venue is located next to the hotel’s Bistrò 1888, which can be used for coffee breaks, lunches, private cocktails and corporate dinners.

The new venue arrives with another notable shift: Grand Hotel Fasano will remain open through Jan. 6, 2027, marking the first time in its history that it will welcome guests through the Christmas and New Year period. That gives planners a new window for end-of-year gatherings, winter retreats and corporate celebrations on Lake Garda.

For larger groups, the hotel also offers exclusive buyouts during select low-season periods, including March and December through January. Beyond the property, Lake Garda’s combination of mountain scenery, lakeside settings and Italian food and wine gives incentive groups plenty of ways to experience the destination.

Hyatt Regency Lisbon: Bleisure in Lisbon

Set along the Tagus River in historic Belém and adjacent to the Lisbon Congress Centre, the 204-room Hyatt Regency Lisbon gives planners a convenient base for meetings, incentives and corporate travel while putting Lisbon’s culture, food and waterfront experiences within reach. The hotel’s meeting spaces and personalized service are complemented by easy access to the city’s business and cultural districts.

For incentive programs, the destination can become part of the itinerary, with options ranging from cultural and culinary experiences to waterfront activities and wellness. The fall and winter calendar adds another layer, with events including Lisbon Art Weekend, Web Summit, Tribeca Festival Lisbon and the Valentino Garavani exhibition at MAAT running through February 2027.

The hotel’s new Unlock Lisbon package gives planners and business travelers another reason to extend a stay. For stays of three nights or longer, the offer includes a food-and-beverage credit, a spa credit, a room upgrade and late checkout, with the latter two subject to availability. The offer is available for bookings made through Oct. 27.

Wellness can also be worked into corporate itineraries at Serenity Spa, while sunset drinks at ICON Rooftop & Bar offer an easy post-meeting option with Tagus River views. The hotel’s Family Escape offer also acknowledges the growing overlap between business and personal travel. Guests staying in suites or two-bedroom apartments can receive complimentary breakfast for children, making it easier to tack on family time around a business engagement. The offer is available for bookings through November.
