Planners looking for a waterfront venue in the Pacific Northwest now have a new option: Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport has debuted Lakeside, a flexible event space that combines lakefront views with versatile design.
Once a wine lounge, Lakeside has been reimagined into a 2,591-sf venue with capacity for up to 200 guests. Located on the hotel’s lobby level, the new space is framed by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Washington, offering natural light and a serene backdrop for both corporate and social gatherings.
“We are thrilled to expand our onsite offerings with the debut of the new Lakeside meeting
space,” said Melissa Woodley, Director of Sales, Marketing and Events at Hyatt Regency Lake Washington, in a media statement. “The versatility of this space is one of its most unique attributes. Groups who book the venue have access to this flexible lakefront event space, which can function separately as an executive boardroom, lounge and meeting or meal space, or as a three-in-one multi-faceted venue.”
A Multi-Faceted Venue
The new Lakeside concept is designed as a three-in-one meeting space.
- Lakeside Boardroom: Equipped with a high-definition screen, perfect for presentations.
- Lakeside Lounge: Functions as a breakout room or reception area, also featuring a built-in screen.
- Lakeside Event Space: Serves as the central gathering area with sleek culinary display stations.
Spaces can be booked individually or combined for a cohesive, private event environment.
Expansive Options Across the Property
Lakeside joins Hyatt Regency Lake Washington’s 60,000 sf of meeting and event space, which includes the 14,122-sf Grand Ballroom, the 4,624-sf Lake Washington Ballroom and outdoor terraces such as the 7,216-sf Olympic Terrace. Each venue highlights the hotel’s lakeside location, just 10 miles from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
The hotel also offers 347 guestrooms and suites, many with panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. On-site amenities include The Spa at the Lake—named Seattle’s best spa by local magazines in 2024—plus year-round wellness programming, an indoor heated pool, paddleboarding, boat charters and multiple dining outlets, including Water’s Table, the hotel’s signature restaurant.
A Pacific Northwest Meetings Destination
With the launch of Lakeside, planners now have an additional option for board meetings, incentive events or social celebrations in the Pacific Northwest.
