The all-inclusive Breezes Resort & Spa – Bahamas recently unveiled a $1 million makeover of its six existing meeting spaces as well as a brand new 490-sf event space, Panorama Gallery, which holds a maximum of 50 people and boasts floor-to ceiling glass windows and doors overlooking the ocean.
Apart from its new spaces, the property also offers several team building opportunities and cultural experiences for groups. Breezes can arrange for groups to participate in volleyball tournaments, tennis tournaments, bouncy boxing or sumo games and trapeze afternoons—all of which are available onsite, says Zein Issa-Nakash, SuperClubs’ vice president for marketing.
The resort also embraces its Bahamian culture through local food and entertainment. Both the Banana Boat restaurant and Reggae Café Beach Grill feature local dishes such as conch fritters. Several nights a week, attendees can watch a limbo or fire dancer show and participate in Junkanoo activities in honor of the Bahamian celebration of Boxing Day. Funky D, the nightly singer, also sings local songs and teaches the dance steps in his performances. There are even coordinators available to teach the dance steps during the day, adds Issa-Nakash.
The resort also caters to groups of 20 or more with its Super-Inclusive package, which includes private group check-in; personalized service of group coordinators; amenities for group leaders and VIPs; complimentary meeting space (one day for two hours); 21st guest free (in winter) or the 15th guest free (in summer); coffee, tea, juices and pastries (during the complimentary meeting); and welcome drinks.
