From modern convention centers to boutique hotels and immersive cultural experiences, Georgia offers a diverse range of options that cater to various event needs. 

Savannah: Expanding Event Horizons

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Savannah Convention Center has more than doubled in size and capacity, positioning itself as a premier venue for large-scale events. The center now offers 200,000 sf of exhibit hall space and a new 40,000-sf ballroom, complementing an existing 25,000-sf ballroom.

Savannah itself offers a rich cultural backdrop, including the Plant Riverside District, historic Forsyth Park and acclaimed restaurants such as The Grey and The Olde Pink House.

Nearby, the Rainwater Conference Center in Valdosta provides over 47,000 sf of versatile meeting space, including a 4,000-sf conference hall and spacious exhibit areas. Following a $1 million renovation, the center now features modernized furniture, upgraded amenities and locally inspired artwork, contributing to increased bookings. Valdosta’s attractions, including Wild Adventures Theme Park and the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts, offer additional engagement opportunities for attendees.

Hotel Bardo in Savannah, a two-acre urban resort located at Forsyth Park, has emerged as a dynamic social and cultural hub. The hotel includes 149 guestrooms and 50 suites as well as versatile event spaces, accommodate groups from 15 to 240 attendees. Unique activations, such as immersive cooking classes, spa experiences and wellness programming, elevate events beyond the standard meeting experience.

Atlanta: Boutique and Landmark Venues

Atlanta’s MICE landscape continues to grow with new and renovated properties. The Tess, a boutique hotel in Buckhead, features 19,472 sf of flexible event space across 13 rooms, including the Cresthaven Ballroom for up to 400 guests. The property combines modern amenities, a rooftop restaurant, one of Atlanta’s only outdoor rooftop pools and 201  guestrooms, making it ideal for galas, conferences and networking events.

Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC)Championship Campus remains a centerpiece for large-scale events. With 1.5 million sf of exhibit space, the campus hosted 164 events and welcomed 3.3 million visitors in 2024. Adjacent attractions include Centennial Olympic Park, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the 976-key Signia by Hilton Atlanta, which offers more than 100,000 sf of meeting space, including Georgia’s largest hotel ballroom. Centennial Olympic Park has recently received a $2.5 million refresh, including an updated Fountain of Rings and a new Visitor Information Center.

For a more distinctive setting, the Delta Flight Museum blends history and innovation, offering 68,000 sf of meeting and event space in historic 1940s hangars near Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The museum’s immersive exhibits and aviation legacy create a memorable backdrop for corporate gatherings.
