Metropolitan Suite at St Regis San Francisco

The St. Regis San Francisco has announced five new festive experiences for groups visiting the city during the holiday season.

Located in the heart of San Francisco’s downtown SoMa neighborhood, steps away from some of the city’s top art galleries and museums, the hotel is offering a series of holiday  event ideas for groups.

A Suite Thanksgiving Feast

Groups who book the hotel’s 3,200 sf Presidential Suite over Thanksgiving will receive a lavish Thanksgiving Day feast prepared by Executive Chef Franck Desplechin. The bespoke menu for up to 10 attendees will be served in the suite’s dining room, with in-room service by a St. Regis Butler. Chef Desplechin will present re-imagined Thanksgiving classics using locally sourced ingredients and honey from the hotel’s own beehives.

Festive Art of Tea Ritual

Continuing a tradition of afternoon tea begun at the St. Regis New York by 19th century socialite Caroline Astor–and invented in England by Anna, Duchess of Bedford–the hotel invites groups to enjoy a festive tea between Nov 25 and Dec 31. Chef Desplechin has created a modern interpretation of this legacy using local products and teas from around the world. Menu items include smoked salmon eclair, cinnamon apple pie martini, gingerbread macaroon tree and gold champagne cupcake. The tea will be served between 2 and 4 p.m. in the lobby lounge.

Holiday Wish List Aficionado

This includes two nights accommodation in the Metropolitan Suite for two, transportation in the hotel’s Bentley to and from Neiman Marcus for a full day of shopping, and lunch at the store’s restaurant The Rotunda. The day concludes with a peppermint pedicure in the hotel’s Remede Spa.

Family Traditions Aficionado

This transforms one of the hotel’s suites with holiday decor such as a festive tabletop Christmas tree and stockings, or a Hanukkah menorah with candles and dreidels. Adults can enjoy a menu of seasonal cocktails featuring holiday flavors, and each attendee will receive a San Francisco-themed ornament as a souvenir of their visit.

New Year’s Staycation

Groups can welcome the New Year in style with this package, which includes a bottle of 2002 Krug Brut Grand Cru Brut plus two customized 2017 champagne flutes and an extravagant meal created by Desplechin. The next morning begins with the hotel’s signature Bloody Mary or a glass of champagne to toast the New Year, followed by a rejuvenating detox treatment at the Remede Spa.
