Atlantic City

The Atlantic City Convention Center is now open.

As of Friday, June 4, The Atlantic City Convention Center and Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall, was fully open and operational. This follows the State of New Jersey lifting all restrictions on indoor gathering specific to meetings, conventions, and events.

“We are excited to welcome back live events responsibly, and to demonstrate how we have been preparing our facilities over the course of the last year,” said the convention center’s general manager Jim McDonald in a statement.

Planners can feel confident that the AC convention center, managed by Spectra, has implemented the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention. It has been awarded STAR accreditation by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), the cleaning industry’s accreditation program for facilities. As well, the venue has been awarded LEED Gold certification for environmentally sound practices and “Going Green” initiatives.

One of the largest meeting venues on the East Coast, the Atlantic City Convention Center has 500,000 contiguous square feet of meeting space on nearly 31 acres. There are 5 exhibition halls, 45 meeting rooms ranging from 672 square feet to 11,880 square feet, 32,000 square feet of pre-function space, and a variety of spaces for receptions and banquets. The center’s award-winning design reflects its seaside location. Find all the facts at Meet AC.

Import Expo, the first event returning to the AC convention center since March 2020, will take place on June 13 with an estimated 2,000 attendees.
