The already meetings-friendly Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek just became more so with a 6,000-sf meeting space addition and an update to its restaurants, wraparound balcony and terrace overlooking the 10-acre lake.

“We host every type of meeting and event here at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, and this new renovation improves our offerings for business travelers tenfold,” says Charlie Kingston, the resort’s general manager. “With venues to network, rooms for formal business meetings and wonderful outdoor meeting space, all complemented by our brand-new ballroom, we are a perfect destination for meeting planners and corporate travelers.”

The $5 million project included the 3,500-sf Bonnet Creek Ballroom and 2,155-sf Expedition meeting room to create a total of 32,000 sf of indoor and outdoor meeting space for the property. It also added a new lighting system capable of producing any color on the color wheel.

Meeting planners looking for more creative dining spaces will appreciate the updates to two of the property’s restaurants as part of the renovation. Bar 1521 now includes iron dividers and Spanish tiles to give it the more authentic feel of a traditional Spanish tapas bar. A sushi bar was also added to the restaurant, where attendees can now pick and choose from a variety of made-to-order sushi options, making it an ideal spot for a quick, post-meeting meal.

Similar to Bar 1521, Tesoro Cove was redesigned to give it the look and feel of dining amid the Mediterranean countryside. The restaurant serves up locally sourced and Italian-inspired pastas for dinner, while offering breakfast treats like waffles or pancakes for breakfast. (And don’t worry, it still features it’s famed cereal bar in the morning.)
