Meeting planners looking for a refreshed venue in Miami Beach have a new option this summer as Royal Palm South Beach Miami, a Tribute Portfolio Resort, reopens this month following a $100 million renovation.

Located on Collins Avenue in the city’s Art Deco Historic District, the oceanfront resort offers 404 guest rooms and suites across three towers, along with more than 20,000 sf of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space.

The property also sits within walking distance of the Miami Beach Convention Center, making it an attractive option for conference overflow, executive retreats, incentive groups and standalone meetings.

Flexible Venues for Groups

The renovated resort features a range of meeting and event spaces designed to accommodate programs of varying sizes.

The Great Room, the property’s primary ballroom, spans nearly 2,900 sf and accommodates up to 300 guests for receptions. The space can also be divided into East and West sections, allowing planners to host breakout sessions or simultaneous programming.

For smaller gatherings, The Den provides 772 sf of meeting space for up to 60 attendees in a theater setup and can also be divided into separate rooms for executive meetings.

Groups seeking indoor-outdoor experiences can utilize The Breezeway, a 1,504-sf event corridor that accommodates up to 500 guests for receptions, while The Deck offers an open-air setting for cocktail receptions and networking events for up to 150 guests.

The Pool Deck, anchored by the resort’s Paloma Club restaurant, hosts receptions for as many as 350 attendees and combines poolside and beachfront settings with coastal Latin-inspired cuisine. Both outdoor venues feature retractable awnings, allowing planners to host events throughout the year regardless of weather.

Dining and Attendee Amenities

Beyond the meeting rooms, the resort offers four dining concepts that can support group programming, networking events and attendee downtime.

Options include Compass Rose, a Cuban-inspired coffee counter; Mixed Company, a lobby bar serving rum-focused cocktails and Asian-inspired small plates; Cositas, a 24-hour market; and The Paloma Club, the resort’s full-service poolside restaurant with beach service extending to the sand.
