Hotel Viking is set to reopen in May after a renovation timed to its centennial, repositioning the historic property for meetings, incentives, conferences and events.

Originally opened in 1926, the 208-room hotel now offers more than 13,000 sf of flexible meeting and event space. The Viking Ballroom accommodates up to 400 attendees, while the Bellevue Ballroom and two additional conference rooms support mid-size meetings and executive gatherings.

A key venue is the restored Kay Chapel, a 19th-century space with capacity for up to 200 guests, suitable for weddings and events. On-property dining and reception venues include a Mediterranean-focused restaurant, a rooftop venue for group functions, a cocktail bar and a grab-and-go cafe.

Wellness amenities include a full-service spa with treatment rooms, an indoor pool, an infrared sauna and a fitness center.

Located on Bellevue Avenue, the hotel is within walking distance of major Newport attractions, including the International Tennis Hall of Fame and the Cliff Walk, as well as the city’s Gilded Age mansions, offering off-site options for incentive and group itineraries.

Dellshire Resort in Wisconsin Dells 

Dellshire Resort is set to open in late spring, introducing a new option for meetings and events in the Midwest. The 208-room resort features a themed design concept and targets small- to mid-size groups, including corporate retreats and incentive travel.

The property will offer meeting and event space for up to 280 attendees, supported by flexible indoor venues suited for conferences, group functions and private events. Its immersive design elements, including a castle-inspired aesthetic and large-scale architectural features, provide built-in opportunities for themed programming.

A key feature is the integration of mixed reality technology, enabling interactive, story-driven experiences across the resort. This capability can be incorporated into team-building activities and customized group programs.

Dining options include five venues, with a total capacity of approximately 350 seats. Recreational amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, a swim-up bar and a 9,000-square-foot entertainment center, offering options for networking and off-agenda activities.

Located in Wisconsin Dells, a drive-to destination known for its year-round attractions, the resort provides additional appeal for planners seeking accessible group destinations with built-in leisure components.

Denū Hotel & Spa in Downtown Phoenix 

Denū Hotel & Spa is set to open in September, adding a new meetings and events option in downtown Phoenix. The 236-room property, part of The Meritage Collection, is located near the city’s convention center, sports venues and entertainment districts, supporting both large-scale events and smaller corporate gatherings.

The hotel will offer 23,000 sf of indoor and outdoor event space across 18 venues, accommodating a range of meeting formats. Spaces include boardrooms, breakout rooms, ballrooms and rooftop venues, as well as private dining areas that can be used for group functions and buyouts.

Wellness is a core component of the property’s group offering, anchored by a full-service spa with thermal and Hammam-inspired experiences. Additional amenities include a fitness center, yoga studio and recovery-focused features such as red-light and sound therapy.

On-site dining includes multiple outlets centered on regional cuisine, along with a rooftop venue suitable for receptions and networking events. With its central location, flexible event space and integrated wellness amenities, Denū Hotel & Spa adds to Phoenix’s growing portfolio of urban meeting properties.

Marriott Marquis Houston 

Marriott Marquis Houston has completed a comprehensive renovation of its 1,000 guestrooms and 150,000 sf of meeting and event space. The upgraded meeting space includes the Texas Ballroom and additional venues designed to support large-scale conventions, corporate meetings and group events.

The hotel is directly connected to the George R. Brown Convention Center, providing expanded capacity for citywide events and conventions. Guestroom updates focus on modernized interiors and functional enhancements aimed at business and group travelers, including redesigned furnishings and workspace improvements.
