summer eventsSurvivalist skills workshops to goat yoga, there’s no shortage of outside-the-box adventures to be had for groups this summer.

Here are four of our top picks that are sure to add a sense of fun and adventure to your summer events.

Goat Yoga

Meetings and incentives groups staying at the JW Marriott Nashville can shake up their on-the-road exercise routines with Goat Yoga on The Green, offered the first Saturday of every month. In partnership with Shenanigoats, the class blends yoga with lighthearted interactions with baby goats, resulting in a fun and unusual workout. This is followed up with a locally inspired brunch at the property’s Stompin’ Grounds Restaurant.

Survivalist Skills Workshop

The 3,000-acre Barnsley Resort just debuted “Wilderness Skills Workshop” team building, led by a naturalist and wildness specialist who also happens to be an Eagle Scout and Backcountry Survival Instructor. Groups will learn the top five items to carry into the backcountry, as well as fundamental skills like water filtration, how to start a fire, create shelter, monitor and maintain core body temperatures.

Yoga in the Vineyard

Yoga on a sprawling deck overlooking vineyards, rolling hills and oak trees. A recent “Mindful Meetings” partnership between Vista Collina Resort, Meritage Resort and Spa and Bare Health has resulted in this customizable program. Meditation and sound healing in Meritage’s underground Estate Cave using crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, chimes and tongue drums will undoubtedly relax and recharge exhausted execs. Follow this up with an expert food demonstration class at Vista Collina’s new Food & Wine Center that teaches attendees how to make delicious yet simple recipes that detoxify, cleanse and renew.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp in Vegas will feature headliners Joe Perry (Aerosmith), Vince Neil (Motley Crue) and Lou Gramm (Foreigner) when it comes back around at the end of June at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Attendees will be placed into bands led by rock star counselors for personal instruction, as well as participate in jam sessions, Q&As and masterclasses by Joe, Vince and Lou. All of this culminates in a live performance with Gramm at Vinyl inside the resort.
