Preferred Hotels & Resorts has introduced Business with Balance, a collection of hotel pairings designed to help business travelers extend work trips into leisure experiences—and give planners another way to build bleisure into group and executive travel.

As business and leisure travel continue to overlap, Preferred Hotels & Resorts is highlighting a new collection of hotel pairings that connect major business hubs with nearby resorts, wellness retreats and countryside escapes.

Called Business with Balance, the new program matches a centrally located hotel in a business destination with an independent property that offers a distinctly different setting for the leisure portion of a trip. The concept centers on a simple transition: conduct business during the week, then extend the stay for relaxation and exploration.

Bleisure Continues to Gain Ground

According to Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ Luxury Travel Report, luxury travelers expect to take eight trips annually, with more than 30 percent blending business and leisure travel.

A 2025 report from Navan and Skift found that 55 percent of business travelers took at least two blended trips in the previous year, while 73 percent considered bleisure flexibility a valuable workplace benefit.

“Business travelers are increasingly looking for ways to extend their journeys and experience more of the destination,” said Kimberly Wilson, Senior VP, Global Sales–Corporate, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, in a press statement. “These pairings showcase how complementary hotel experiences can create a seamless transition from work mode to weekend exploration, inspiring travelers to make the most of their time away while discovering the authentic character of each destination through Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio of independent luxury hotels.”
