Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) announced the creation of a new parent company, Associated Luxury Hotels, last month.
The new parent company will create a comprehensive solution for luxury-level and upper-upscale independent hotels and resorts beyond the meetings market. While ALHI will remain focused on meetings for its membership of 250, Four- and Five-Diamond hotels and resorts worldwide, Associated Luxury Hotels will help develop and expand those hotel members’ services globally. That means going beyond the current North American meetings market Global Sales Organization (GSO) services, says David Gabri, ALHI CEO and chairman of Associated Luxury Hotels.
“We are launching Associated Luxury Hotels as the parent company of ALHI now, in preparation, so that we can share insights and offer a broader range of market services beyond the North American meetings and incentive marketplace, which will include transient business travel, leisure travel, loyalty solutions and distribution,” says Gabri. “This next step in the evolution from ALHI’s 30 years of dedicated group business is in response to the growing competitive needs of our distinguished member hotels and resorts, and persistent inquiries from other luxury-level independent hotels and resorts worldwide.”
Associated Luxury Hotels plans to provide not only robust group market sales services in North America and Europe, but also full-service “soft-brand” solutions on a global scope, according to Gabri. This includes finding a balance between enabling member hotels and resorts to enjoy their independent identity while also remaining competitive with some of the world’s biggest hospitality chains. Associated Luxury Hotels now owns and operates ALHI, and plans to announce an expansion of its ALHI GSO sales team into Europe, future additions to its global portfolio, and new services and offerings that will expand its geographic reach and market penetration.
