The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) is celebrating dual honors after being named Best Event in 2025 and Best Trade Show in 2025 at the Australian Business Events Association Awards last night.

The awards cap off a year of growth, innovation and influence for AIME, as the team prepares for a record-breaking event in 2026.

AIME connects international and local buyers with world-class exhibitors from Asia Pacific and around the world. Next year’s 3-day event will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), Feb. 9-11, 2026.

AIME Event Director Silke Calder says the awards recognize the collective effort that drives AIME forward.

“To be recognized as Best Event of the Year is a remarkable honor for AIME. It reflects the strength of our industry and the collaboration that underpins everything we do,” she says.

“I want to thank our partners and participants for their ongoing support, and our exceptional team whose passion is the key to this success. This award motivates us to keep raising the bar.”

The Australian business events community gathered in Melbourne on Thursday, Dec. 4 for the Australian Business Events Awards 2025, celebrating the partnerships, achievements and industry leadership driving impact across the sector.

Hosted during the ABEA Conference at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event recognized outstanding work across exhibitions, conferences, incentives, venues, teams, innovation and sustainability, highlighting the breadth and strength of Australia’s business events industry.

AIME 2026 will be the biggest event yet delivered by Event Director Silke Calder and her team from Talk2 Media and Events, which manages the show on behalf of Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB).

Talk2 Media & Events CEO Matt Pearce says he is delighted AIME’s role in the business events industry has been recognized by the ABEA.

“AIME has always been driven by the industry it serves, and its success comes from that shared ownership. The event has become a place where ideas take shape and new connections fuel professional growth. It is an honor to have that work acknowledged.”

AIME 2026 will feature over 4,500 attendees including 700 exhibitors, 700 hosted buyers and more than 20,000 pre-scheduled appointments.
