American Express is growing its premium airport lounge footprint with new and enhanced Centurion Lounge locations at Boston Logan International Airport, Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
The expansion includes a new Centurion Lounge at Boston Logan, a second “Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge” concept in Charlotte and a major renovation and expansion at Dallas Fort Worth, all slated to open between 2027 and 2029.
Centurion Lounge Expansions
At Boston Logan, American Express has signed a lease for a two-story Centurion Lounge in Terminal C, expected to debut in 2029. The space will be among the largest in the network and will feature an outdoor terrace. The lounge will incorporate local artwork alongside signature amenities, including dedicated workstations, high-speed WiFi and premium food and beverage offerings.
In Charlotte, the company is introducing its second “Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge,” an intimate, fast-paced concept tailored to solo travelers and small groups with limited dwell time. Set to open in Concourse A in 2027, the lounge will offer elevated small plates, curated wines and signature cocktails ordered via QR code for quick delivery.
Meanwhile, the Centurion Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth—one of the network’s original locations—will undergo a significant expansion, increasing its footprint by nearly 50 percent. The upgraded space, expected in 2027, will introduce additional seating, a new dining area, a second full-service bar and a walk-up ice cream window.
Across these locations and select U.S. lounges, American Express will continue to elevate its culinary program through The Culinary Collective by The Centurion Lounge, featuring menus from James Beard Award-winning chefs. Bar Director Harrison Ginsberg and sommelier Helen Johannesen will further refine the beverage experience with locally inspired cocktails and a curated wine program.
