A meetings oasis in the heart of the city, Hyatt Regency Denver invites groups with tranquil, redesigned guest rooms and more than 60,000 sf of flexible event space.

Planners know the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center as a top downtown meetings hotel with more than 60,000 sf of flexible event space. Now it has emerged from the last phase of a multi-year, $70 million renovation featuring a total re-do of its 1,110 guest rooms and suites. As well, there’s a new 891 sf meeting room called Summit Five.

With spacious ballrooms, an intimate rooftop venue and an art-filled restaurant, the hotel offers versatile settings, allowing us to welcome everything from large-scale conventions to intimate gatherings,” noted the hotel’s General Manager, Greg Leonard, in a press statement.

Meeting space ranges from the 30,000 sf Centennial Ballroom, accommodating up to 3,000 attendees, to the 3,500 sf Denver City Terrace, one of the city’s only open-air event venues, and from the 22,000 sf Capital Ballroom to the 8,154 sf Mineral Hall with seven breakout sections. Plus, there are many boardrooms and private dining rooms, including the 2,250 sf Peaks private event space with panoramic city and Rocky Mountain views that can accommodate up to 200 attendees for a reception.

All guest rooms and suites have been top-to-toe designed with a tranquil, stylish aesthetic that reflects the textures of the Rockies and the city’s urban charm. Each room features brand new hard and soft goods crafted from natural wood, stone, porcelain and vegan leather. Layered textures and tonal colors convey warmth and calm, with soft green accents that evoke the Colorado landscape. Redesigned bathrooms include expansive illuminated mirrors, upgraded vanities, glass-enclosed showers and large-format amenities.

Throughout the renovation, Hyatt Regency Denver remained committed to responsible design and sustainability. Through the hotel’s furniture-moving and installation partners, approximately 90 percent of existing furniture, mattresses, lighting and artwork was resold and diverted from landfills, finding new homes across the country.

The hotel worked with trusted local partners to complete the renovation on a tight 14-month schedule while remaining fully operational.

“The transformation of the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center represents an important investment in one of our city’s most important downtown properties,” said Bill Mosher, CEO of the Denver Convention Center Hotel Authority, in a statement. “Engaging a creative and committed team of local partners and vendors throughout the process ensured that the transformation’s impact extends beyond the hotel’s guests and into the broader Denver community.”
