Over the past year, Palladium Cares has expanded its impactful programs for employees, clients and local communities.

With the launching of Palladium Cares in 2023, Palladium Hotel Group set a high bar for corporate social responsibility in the hospitality industry. The program reaches across the groups’ 40 hotels and 10 brands in eight countries including Spain, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Italy, Brazil, the United States and the United Arab Emirates. It covers four pillars of commitment: Our People, Our Community, Our Planet, and introduced this year, Our Company—highlighting the integration of sustainability into the corporate structure. A just-released report documents robust progress and new initiatives in 2025 that groups can participate in.

“The progress of Palladium Cares reflects our commitment to creating a lasting, positive impact,” said Gloria Juste, Senior Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Palladium Hotel Group. “The effort and dedication of our employees are the driving force behind large-scale projects that make a real difference. We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with NGOs that share our values and help bring our initiatives to life. America has opened extraordinary doors for us, and we’re proud of the impact we’re making there—particularly in the areas of social responsibility and sustainability. We remain committed to generating value for our employees, the planet, and local communities.”

Among the 2025 Palladium Cares updates:

• The global project 4 Causes 4 Quarters, implemented in all hotels across Europe and the Americas, strengthens collaboration with NGOs through year-round actions aligned with social and environmental causes.  In Europe, the program has benefited over 3,292 people, thanks to the dedication of 1,697 volunteers who have contributed more than 6,791 hours of service. In the Americas, where the project was recently launched, over 788 people have already benefited, with 231 volunteers contributing more than 1,639 hours of volunteer work. Guests have also been invited to participate in initiatives to donate clothes, books, school supplies or medical materials to nearby organizations and even take part in their deliveries, fostering real connections with local communities.

• As part of its commitment to biodiversity, Palladium is advancing projects such as supporting sea turtle conservation efforts in Brazil and the Riviera Maya. Other new projects focused on biodiversity include a recently inaugurated agricultural center in Punta Cana that promotes sustainable farming, native plant cultivation and beekeeping—actively involving the local community in its operations and training.

• Food surplus measurement tools in hotels have resulted in a significant reduction in waste and the donation of over 2,500 meals. Soap for Hope recycles used soap from hotels in México and the Dominican Republic into new hygiene products sold by vulnerable communities as a source of income. Linens for Life repurposes discarded linens and towels into useful items donated to nonprofits for resale or community use.

• Under Our People, the group has launched key initiatives such as supporting the expansion of daycare centers near its hotels in Jamaica and Mexico, and expanded a university scholarship program for employees’ children in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

• In collaboration with local organizations, Palladium has nine training centers in The Americas and is expanding to Europe with a vocational training program in Ibiza to start later this year. In Jamaica, 79 students graduated and completed internships at the group’s facilities. 102 students are currently enrolled, with 86 of them already undertaking internships in company hotels. In Brazil, 250 students have received training and 32 students are currently completing internships.
