Industry Meetings: Roaring Back in 2023 and Beyond

Save the dates: meeting and incentive organizations have a robust lineup of shows and conferences on the horizon.

Meeting planners know that in these challenging and ever-changing times, continuing education and networking with peers and suppliers is essential to staying abreast of industry issues. While Covid is still with us, the long pause has ended and in-person meetings have mindfully returned with health and safety protocols. Here’s a lineup of leading meeting and incentive association conferences and shows scheduled for 2023 and beyond:

Meeting Professionals International (MPI), has announced dates and destinations for the next four World Education Conferences (WEC), MPI’s signature event that draws approximately 2,500 event professionals annually for leading edge education. In June, 2023 WEC heads to the Barcelo Maya Riviera resort in Mexico; in 2024 to St. Louis, Missouri; in 2025 to Louisville, Kentucky; and in 2026 to San Antonio, Texas. This year’s WEC takes place June 21-23, in San Francisco.

In 2023 The Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE) heads to New York City—where the first SITE conference was held nearly half a century ago—for its 50th anniversary SITEGlobal Conference the week of February 13th. Registration will open at the end of this year.

The Incentive Research Foundation (IRF) will be meeting June 4-7, 2023 at El Conquistador Beachfront Resort, Puerto Rico, for the IRF’S 2023 Education Invitational, focusing on IRF research and industry networking.

Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) brings its flagship education and networking event, PCMA Convening Leaders, to Columbus, Ohio January 8-11, 2023.

IMEX America will once again take place at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas in 2023-2025. The meeting dates are October 16-19, 2023; October 7-10, 2024; and October 6-9, 2025. This year the dates are October 10-14. The show always kicks off with a “Smart Monday” of free education.
