Our 5th Annual Meet Well Summit, held last week at The Wigwam in Litchfield Park, Ariz., explored the changing definition of wellness.

Attendees at our 5th Annual Meet Well Summit September 8 to 9 heard from a first-rate slate of speakers, including Michael Dominguez, Dianne Budion Devitt, Desi Whitney and Eve Lahijani. A roundtable session led by The Incentive Research Foundation’s Stephanie Harris explored the changing definition of wellness and will be the basis of a research paper to be released next month.

The lobby of The Wigwam has seen many special guests through the years, including Bing Crosby and Gene Autry.

The group was wowed by the gorgeous and historic The Wigwam and during the final evening dinner at Mountain Shadows Resort in Scottsdale, two very different incentive-level resorts.

Healthy eating was on the menu, with some room for indulgence, too!

Wellness activities punctuated the event, from morning yoga to a restorative stretch break. Menus and amenities were designed with wellness in mind. The agenda built in time for attendees to work on their personal wellness with a visit to the resort’s LeMonds Spa. At the opening night reception, attendees were able to choose from an array of wellness gifts, from skincare to local spices, from the area’s hotels curated by Visit Phoenix.

Visit Phoenix created a table full of wellness amenities from area resorts for the opening reception.

It was clear that COVID has shifted the definition of wellness as it pertains to events, with mental health and balance, along with safety during travel and at meetings, rising to the forefront.
