Tropic Ocean Airways is launching scheduled flights between Fort Lauderdale and Key West on Nov. 27, providing a faster alternative to the destination for corporate travelers and groups visiting the Florida Keys.
The approximately one-hour flights will operate Thursday through Sunday, departing from Sheltair Aviation at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and arriving at Signature Aviation at Key West International Airport (EYW).
Operating between private aviation terminals, the service allows passengers to bypass traditional commercial terminals. Travelers can arrive 30 minutes before departure and receive complimentary valet and multi-day parking, a baggage allowance with every seat, and access to a private lobby with WiFi, snacks and beverages. The airline also accommodates pets.
Same-Day Getaways and Private Charters
Tropic Ocean Airways is introducing Keys in a Day, a same-day getaway that includes roundtrip flights and complimentary valet parking. Travelers will have approximately eight hours to explore Key West before returning to South Florida by early evening.
For meeting planners, the offering could provide an additional option for executive outings, incentive extensions and pre- or post-event experiences for attendees already in South Florida.
