Airline route maps continue to expand, and these recent announcements are worth a closer look: new nonstop service that shortens travel time to destinations in Europe and the Caribbean.
Alaska Airlines will begin nonstop service from Seattle to both Athens and Paris next spring. The Seattle-Athens service, flight AS196, begins May 12, 2027 and operates three times weekly. It will be Alaska’s longest route and the only nonstop option to Athens from the West Coast. The Seattle-Paris service, flight AS136, begins May 25, 2027, with five weekly flights through the fall.
Both routes fly Alaska’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The international business-class cabin is worth flagging for executive groups: lie-flat Suites, multi-course dining, and amenities from West Coast brands Filson and Salt & Stone. Atmos Rewards members get complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi as it rolls out fleetwide through 2027, a meaningful perk for attendees who need to stay connected in transit. The new network also enables same-day connections between Honolulu and Paris via Seattle, which could matter for groups that draw attendees from Hawaii.
For planners building a European incentive program or conference, Athens and Paris now join Alaska’s existing Seattle routes to Iceland, London, Rome, Seoul and Tokyo, giving West Coast-based groups more direct European access than ever. Alaska has said it plans to add at least five more intercontinental destinations by 2030.
Delta Air Lines will launch Austin’s first nonstop service to Europe on March 27, 2027, connecting Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Delta will be the only U.S. airline offering nonstop service between Austin and Europe, a significant convenience upgrade for planners working with Austin’s tech and corporate base.
Flights operate daily in summer on Delta’s Airbus A330-900neo, with four cabin classes: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main. Delta One includes fully lie-flat seats, bedding and privacy doors, suited to VIP attendees or executive delegations. The route also opens one-stop access to nearly 70 destinations across Europe, India and Africa through Delta’s joint venture with Air France-KLM. At peak summer, Delta, Air France and KLM will together operate up to 10 weekly nonstop flights between Austin and Europe, serving both Paris and Amsterdam, with further onward connectivity through Delta’s partnership with Virgin Atlantic.
BermudAir will launch the New York area’s first nonstop service to South Caicos this winter, cutting travel time from Newark to 3.5 hours. Service begins Dec. 20, 2026, operating twice weekly on Sundays and Thursdays through April 25, 2027, and it will be the only nonstop route to South Caicos from the New York area.
The route provides direct access to Salterra, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, recently ranked the top resort in Turks and Caicos, with 85 beachfront acres and a 3,000-foot private beach. Guests land at South Caicos International Airport and reach the resort in about 10 minutes, a short, easy transfer that matters for group logistics. BermudAir Holidays will soon offer bundled South Caicos packages combining flights, guestrooms and island experiences, which could simplify site selection for smaller incentive groups.
The South Caicos launch follows BermudAir’s expansion into Providenciales, with new nonstop routes from Newark, Boston, Baltimore-Washington, Raleigh-Durham, Fort Lauderdale, St. Petersburg/Tampa and Toronto beginning in December, except Fort Lauderdale, which starts Oct. 26. All BermudAir flights operate on Embraer E190 aircraft.
