Tampa Offers a Tempting Meeting Incentive Suite

Visit Tampa Bay has a four-part suite of perks and programs to incentivize groups to bring their meetings and events to town.

Visit Tampa Bay wants meeting and event planners to bring their business to town — and they’re offering a suite of meeting incentives to sweeten the deal. Each of the four meeting incentives are designed to either add value, help offset event costs, or add to the experience a group can offer to its attendees. Here’s a brief overview of what the Tampa Bay destination marketing organization is putting on the table in 2026:

Partner Match+: Many of the area hotels have their own promotions designed to tempt planners to choose their venue as a meeting host, such as the Courtyard Tampa Westshore/Airport’s offer to provide groups that book at least 15 rooms before December 31, 2026 their choice of two out of three perks: 20,000 Bonus Meeting Planner Marriott Bonvoy Points; a 10% discount on AV; or a complimentary morning or afternoon break. Under the Partner Match+ plan, the DMO will provide an added financial incentive up to $2,500 for qualifying events. Bonus for Bookings: This one is designed for groups that have some flexibility in their event dates and/or already plan to meet during one of the area’s need periods — groups that book in one of the qualifying periods receive a financial incentive for each eligible room night they book.

Treasured Savings: Groups that book the Tampa Convention Center during eligible months get a bonus in the form of Visit Tampa Bay paying the initial convention center deposit upon the signing of the contract. Groups also can receive a customized Tampa Bay bid package tailored to the event’s specific requirements. The website lists eligible periods from 4^th quarter 2026 through the end of 2031 for groups that book several years in advance, though the offer does apply only to events contracted before the end of September 2026, and guest room minimums and economic impact requirements also are a factor.

Discover Treasures: Planners who are looking to find new ways to enhance the attendee experience and provide more interaction with the local culture might find this one tailor made for their groups. It includes complimentary, uniquely Tampa Bay experiences such as a team event at The Florida Aquarium, a safari at Busch Gardens’ Serengeti Plains, a streetcar tour of the Historic Latin Quarter of Ybor City, dinner on a sunset sail aboard Yacht StarShip, a custom Cigar City experience, or luxury tickets to a Tampa Bay Lightning game. These perks are available to groups with at least 500 contracted room nights during eligible dates, and the event must be booked by December 31, 2026.
