The leader in luxury river cruising is adding six new ships by 2028, bringing charter planners new high-end venues to consider for group sailings. Alongside the fleet expansion, Uniworld has unveiled several upcoming itineraries, including a new Mystery Journey in 2028.
A Growing Fleet
In 2027, the S.S. São Rafael will sail Portugal’s Douro River Valley, with space for up to 100 guests to experience the region’s breathtaking wines, cuisine and landscapes. On the Rhine and Danube, get ready to welcome the S.S. Audrey and the S.S. Marlene, 154-passenger ships whose boutique decor will be inspired by Hollywood starlets Audrey Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich.
Following the success of their partnership with Aqua Expeditions, Uniworld has also added charters aboard the 30-passenger Aqua Blu to their offerings, enhancing Aqua’s coastal Indonesia expedition with an exclusive land tour of Bali and Singapore.
In 2028, Uniworld is launching 3 new ships: S.S. Clara, S.S. Helen and Mekong Mystique. Named after the legendary Helen of Troy, the S.S. Helen draws inspiration from European classical antiquity and the enduring influence of Greek culture throughout the Danube region.
The S.S. Clara honors the pioneering 17th-century Flemish painter Clara Peeters, one of the Dutch Golden Age’s most celebrated female artists.
The Mekong Mystique draws on classic Indochine design, combining refined European architectural details with natural materials to create interiors that reflect the rich heritage and stunning landscapes of Vietnam and Cambodia.
New 2028 & Mystery Journey

Uniworld is giving its guest-favorite Mystery Cruise concept a fresh spin in 2028 with the debut of an entirely new Mystery Journey. Beginning June 15, the 11-day experience will take the element of surprise beyond the river. The journey comes with just two clues: guests will arrive through Luxembourg Airport and depart from Zürich Airport. Everything in between, including the destinations and itinerary, will remain under wraps until departure.
