Haven Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa has revealed plans for a new 25,000-sf convention center to be located on its 250-acre complex.
The new convention center is scheduled for completion in Fall 2020, and will feature a central ballroom with more than 14,500 sf of flexible meeting space offering multiple configurations. The ballroom will boast a ceiling height of nearly 22 feet with no chandeliers, columns or obstructions. The new facility will also offer a large pre-function space as well as three smaller separate multi-use rooms, and will be supported by the latest audio-visual technology, a dedicated kitchen and a separate storage room.
Haven Riviera Cancun is also adding an additional 105 guest suites to complement the new convention center. Unlike the resort’s existing guest suites, the new rooms will be double occupancy and specifically designed to meet the needs of meeting and convention groups.
The adults-only, all-inclusive resort is located just 15 minutes south of Cancun International Airport and has an on-staff team of meeting planners ready to support events from concept to execution. The 333-suite, beachfront resort features two large swimming pools and a 15,700-sf spa with nine treatment rooms, sauna, steam room, whirlpool hot tub and cold water plunge pool.
